Mission and Vision Statement

At Claritas, we seek to cultivate wisdom and virtue by nourishing the child’s soul on truth, goodness, and beauty so that, in Christ, the student is enabled to better know, glorify and enjoy God. We also strive to assist homeschooling families in achieving meaningful and lasting success in their home education program using a Classical model in a Christian community. Claritas Classical Academy is a Christ-centered group seeking accountability, community, and excellence in educating our children.

Statement of Faith

The Claritas community embraces the Apostles’ Creed as our statement of faith. We believe it is sufficient for members of our community to hold this Creed in common. We are not a church and will not attempt to influence positions of doctrinal belief beyond this scope. Should questions of doctrine arise beyond the scope of the Apostles’ Creed, the student will be referred to his or her parents.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
